CHALLENGE

A PE owned rapidly growing vegetation remediation company was struggling to effectively operate its lines of business due to disparate ERP systems it had inherited through an aggressive acquisition strategy. The internal team had determined that a new, centralized ERP solution was needed to drive efficiencies, create a single source of truth for financial data and optimize operations. The management team had prior experience with both Sage
and NetSuite but also wanted to test the market.

SOLUTION

IT Ally conducted a detailed assessment of the clients’ current state business systems, business processes and supporting technology infrastructure in all locations and business lines. Our unique approach identified the critical requirements to separate the “table-stakes” ERP capabilities from those that were true differentiators that would result in a competitive advantage for the company. Chief amongst those were Project Management, Project Accounting, Service Delivery and Bid Management.

RESULTS

Highlighting the key differentiators, we were able to quickly thin the field of ERP contenders and down-select to NetSuite and Acumatica. Sage Intacct made the top-3 but was ultimately not deemed to provide the same “value for money” as the two finalist candidates. In the final analysis, NetSuite was selected and is currently being implemented by an IT Ally integration partner.
