Context
A private equity-backed specialty manufacturer with under $100 million in annual gross sales had already established its AI foundation, including a governed enterprise environment, team training, and a prioritized roadmap.
The opportunity was to put that roadmap to work. Valuable information already existed across the company’s CRM, ERP, email, calendar, and public market sources, but much of it was difficult to see or act on quickly. Customer relationships could begin cooling before the sales team recognized the pattern. Potential customers appeared in public market signals no one had time to monitor consistently. Leadership reporting required manually pulling together information from several systems.
The information was there. It simply wasn’t visible in time to matter.
Assessment
IT Ally® evaluated the opportunities identified through the AI roadmap and prioritized the use cases with the clearest potential impact.
Three solutions moved into execution:
- Relationship Monitoring Agent: Monitors customer and prospect activity across email and calendars, identifies relationships that may be going quiet, and surfaces accounts that need attention. The agent also writes activity back into the CRM, improving the system of record without adding administrative work for the sales team.
- Market Signal Research Agent: Monitors a changing set of public sources for buying signals and identifies prospective customers the company may not otherwise have found.
- Leadership Operating Dashboard: Brings ERP, CRM, and AI platform data into a single operating view, reducing the need for leadership to manually assemble information across multiple systems.
IT Ally also recommended against building four other candidate workflows after determining that the company’s existing enterprise AI platform could handle them with well-designed prompts. This kept engineering focused on use cases where a custom build was actually warranted.
The first dashboard was live within two weeks of roadmap delivery, and all three solutions were operational within six weeks.
