Protecting Infrastructure: Strengthening Cybersecurity for Fulfillment Services

CHALLENGE
Our PE backed client is a leading North American sales and fulfillment service organization acting as a turn-key sales force on behalf of medium-sized board game, toy and book manufacturers, with key retail partners that include Amazon, Target, and Walmart. This client had a 3rd party IT services partner, however there was concern around adequate coverage to properly monitor and protect the infrastructure from downtime and cybersecurity threats.
SOLUTION
As part of IT and Cybersecurity Due Diligence, vulnerability scans of the client’s external and internal networks were performed. As a result, the external risk assessment resulted in low risk, however the internal risk assessment discovered 80 significant vulnerabilities that would point to lack of adequate coverage to protect the infrastructure, including no endpoint security strategy.
