CHALLENGE
IT Ally was engaged to perform a full IT and Cybersecurity due diligence on behalf of our PE backed client who was pursuing an add-on, one of the top 10 largest independent distributors of gases and welding supplies. They had recently experienced explosive growth and were operating out of 22 locations. It was imperative to understand the scalability of existing systems to support continued growth.
SOLUTION
As part of our thorough discovery process, we performed an evaluation of enterprise applications, only to discover many siloed applications running both on-prem and in the cloud. Although the on-prem ERP system was industry standard and updated, cybersecurity vulnerabilities were found throughout the environment in the form of outdated servers. It became evident that the company required a strategy to migrate key business systems and data to the cloud for better security and ease of management.
