CHALLENGE

Producer of color dispersions and additives for landscaping, building material, and graphic art applications. As a $150M manufacturer with recent growth via acquisition, they needed to integrate the other operation into the current ERP system by the start of 2021.

SOLUTION

With our expert data transformation capabilities, IT Ally was able to partner with the team to gain needed access to the source databases of the acquired company. We collaborated with the company ERP data owners and database experts located in the United States and Europe to discover the required data. A staging database was setup as a repository for the source data, which was extracted and transformed.

Next, we were able to export the data into Excel templates for the team to validate, and as an iterative process, finalize the data sets to be loaded into the ERP system. We also collaborated with the ERP program manager to ensure best practices, as well as collaborate on a step-by-step conversion plan which was communicated to the ERP project team.

RESULTS

The step-by-step conversion plan was executed successfully and the needed ERP data from the old systems was successfully loaded into the current ERP system. The acquired operation went live on the ERP system on-time and with no major interruptions to the business.
