CHALLENGE

A leading, PE backed, solutions provider to the commercial vehicle industry, was in desperate need of an ERP transformation to support their growth and integration strategy. Having underinvested in their ERP capability for several years, they were struggling with technical debt leading to suboptimal execution of business operations, inaccurate accounting requiring regular manual intervention, revenue leakage and lengthy revenue recognition cycles.

SOLUTION

Beginning with our proprietary ERP Readiness Assessment, we quickly gathered and documented requirements for a comprehensive ERP solution to manage both the manufacturing operations as well as the core accounting and back-office capabilities. We additionally helped the client reengineer key business processes to ensure timely recognition of revenue, visibility into manufacturing progress from order to delivery and tight control of the MRP processes.

RESULTS

An ERP evaluation consisting of both Sage X3 and NetSuite lead to the selection and implementation of a new ERP system under our oversight. Revenue leakage has been eliminated, revenue recognition has improved by 45-days on average and operations managers and engineers have the tools and insights that allow them to effectively manage manufacturing resources and production schedules. After successfully completing the implementation, the company has been able to effectively execute its growth strategy and has recently completed a strategic acquisition.
